she is 2 years old: a full-fledged terrible two and sunshine all wrapped up in one package. current interests/obsessions include elmo, “picky mouse”, eating with chopsticks, counting, and well, mommy. of course i’m sure that will change next week. we spent a quiet day at home with birthday balloons and cake. endless fun. the anticipation. read more

easter egg hunt 2012

today we participated in an easter egg hunt, hosted by the chapel hill preservation society at the historic horace williams house. we were there with many other children from the community, all ready with their baskets. after a countdown, it was survival of the fittest. poor rebecca, left in the dust! she didn’t seem to read more

rebecca discovered the exciting new world of ducks… “ca ca”! basically any similar type of bird (eg. chicken, swan, goose) will elicit excited “ca ca ca’s”. she even “ca ca”-ed at a piece of tissue that she thought was reminiscent of a duck. it actually kind of did. our recent trip to vancouver was pretty read more
