this spring we tried a semester of dance lessons (that is, organized prancing around) which R really enjoyed. every week, she received a special sticker from her teacher which she would carefully bring home and save.
A fourth birthday! I initially didn’t know if we would have a party this year, but at the end managed to put together a sweet butterfly birthday party for R and a few little friends. R’s first school concert! it was so fun to watch and enjoy their little performance. she was really cute in her tutu and borrowed ballet slippers which kept falling off. R even managed to remember her one french line: “on a un message!”. the children prepared gifts for their parents. love these!
i got to help out with R’s school fieldtrip to Ganyard Hill Farm. the goats. lots of corn. class pic in the maze. hayride! and a souvenir to take home from the pumpkin patch. i know, she looks so thrilled.
We celebrated R’s third birthday this weekend with a little bubble blowing party. fortunately the weather was good and we were able to set up outside with a few balloons, which R was pretty pleased about. i thought she looked remarkably similar to her birthday card from her ee ee. the party was small with read more

we just finished two weeks of swimming lessons at Aquaventures! it was a lot of fun and there was definitely improvement… bubbles thumbs up! first swimming ribbon!
blowing bubbles never fails to entertain. her bubble-making kit (which by the way cost one whole dollar) includes a little pipe which she has mastered.
