one year old

today is our first wedding anniversary! we celebrated by exchanging cards… then we went to the suburb of Oak Park and did a walking tour in the neighbourhood of various homes designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, including the architect’s own home and studio. this house is called the Winslow house, and was built in 1893. read more »

we had dinner with roger and cynthia at “guu with garlic” for some japanese tapas, which i gather is all the rage in vancouver. roger introduced us to a new drink called shochu (?sp). cheers!

richmond night market

after dinner in richmond, we went to check out the nightmarket with my family. we indulged in some red bean and shaved ice while we wandered through the tents. altogether, we got a cell phone case for dad($5), six tanktops for grandma ($20), and various berets and hair things for the girls($15).
