this weekend the mayor hosted a Kite Festival at the Museum of Science & Industry. it was very cute watching all these tiny kids (and not so tiny kids) concentrating intensely and zooming around as fast as they could in all directions while looking up and behind them. and of course in a sign of old age, the first thought that crossed my mind was, i hope they don’t crash and hurt each other.

holy kites, batman. that squid thing reminds me of war of the worlds. that’s not fun, that’s just scary! run kids! run for your lives!
unfortunately i didn’t have a kite, but it was fun anyways. come to think of it, i don’t think i’ve flown in kite in over 20 years…
