we took advantage of another beautiful summer day in vancouver and decided to try biking the seawall around stanley park. since it’s probably been over a decade since i’ve ridden a bicycle, i was nervous i would wipe out so we opted to rent a tandem-bike while helen pulled R in a chariot. a bit read more »

we just finished two weeks of swimming lessons at Aquaventures! it was a lot of fun and there was definitely improvement… bubbles thumbs up! first swimming ribbon!

kits beach

after a week of rain, the sun finally came out. we spent the afternoon at kits beach, along with half the city it seemed. playground with a view. we ended up bumping into some friends, and spent the rest of the time digging in the sand. helping uncle jacob with the sandcastle.

pizza party

i celebrated my middle-agedness with family and friends at pizzeria barbarella. we ate five pizza pies. then home for birthday candles, cake and cupcakes. R was quite delighted that it was mommy’s birthday!

asian stomachs

we are getting our fill of vancity foods and appeasing our asian stomachs. our staples: melt in your mouth sushi and sashimi (at shiro) pho and the best banh mi in town (at au petit cafe) taiwanese beef noodles with our usual choice of seaweed/tofu/intestine appetizer let’s eat!

father’s day festivities

after church on this special sunday, we went to our favourite fish n’ chips place on granville island for lunch. there’s always a line up and wait, but it’s worth it! for dinner, we had a family bbq in the backyard, complete with a strawberry shortcake dessert. too much food! happy father’s day!!
