as part of my conference, we got a couple of free tickets to watch ‘Wicked’ the musical at the Oriental theatre, which was a very nice perk. it was a lot of fun, despite some changes from the book by Gregory Maguire which i got to read last year.

a new look for fall

it seemed time for a new blog design. it’s a snapshot of our bulletin board, featuring a baseball ticket to the cubs at wrigley field, a postcard of the university, our always cheap super china 3 phone card, and a new haircut!

we’re not in kansas anymore

nope, actually we’re in chicago again. had to wake up at 4:30AM to catch our plane. everything went smoothly, including a quick stopover through the denver airport. thankfully there were no tornadoes today.

last meals

before heading back to chicago, we had some sushi with the wongs…except tayden who had cheerios, and then celebrated the chinese mid-autumn festival over some ribs, homemade pesto, and of course moon cake. there was, by the way, a very bright and beautiful full moon.
