today i attended the first of a four day conference: the american academy of family physicians scientific assembly. the lectures i chose to attend seemed to alternate opposite sides of the huge conference center, so it’s a good thing i wore sneakers. unfortunately i think the organizers overlooked the small problem of having thousands of hungry family doctors trying to buy lunch from one tiny food court and two tiny snack stands at the same time. tomorrow the exhibits will be open, which is always fun because you get to pick up free junk in exchange for a short spiel from overly keen drug reps. i’m crossing my fingers for a highlighter and a USB memory key.

sweet, have fun sho sho!
remember kimu when you’re picking up the swag.
thanks kimu, i did have fun, although my brain feels like mush right now. as for the swag, i got 3 highlighters, a couple USB flash drives, a wireless mouse, a breast cancer ribbon pin, lots of pens including one with a bobble-head, a massage thing, breathmints, a bag, and of course a variety of educational stuff. and there was more to grab, but i was pretty sick of it all by today. not bad, eh?
pretty good, sho sho! and no expired white rabbit candy? oh wait, that’s halloween at a chinese house…
