after dinner in richmond, we went to check out the nightmarket with my family. we indulged in some red bean and shaved ice while we wandered through the tents. altogether, we got a cell phone case for dad($5), six tanktops for grandma ($20), and various berets and hair things for the girls($15).

we’ve noticed that people like to sell various items from the middle of the road to passing cars. i suppose newspapers isn’t that surprising, but so far we’ve also seen CD’s, cotton candy, sparkly pom-pom things, and bottled water. never know what you might need on the road i guess.
i went to the ocean’s thirteen premiere in chicago! well, i didn’t watch the movie (you had to pay $2000 towards ‘Not On Our Watch’, a charity to support Darfur), but i did stand outside for three hours (i know, i’m sad) to see the stars. i did feel a bit ridiculous while waiting in read more
