i was lucky to be able to attend julie and joe’s vietnamese engagement ceremony and party this week. it was an intimate gathering of family and friends, and a wonderful preview of their wedding coming up in the fall.

after hearing meaningful speeches from the families, julie and joe served the ceremonial tea.
then we got to enjoy a homemade vietnamese meal, all made by julie’s mom.
after three appetizers, somehow i found room for this delicious bowl of pho. so good!!
can’t wait for the wedding!
