welcome to the world

we had a baby! rebecca was born last week, a whopping 6lb and a half ounce. unfortunately eventhough she was small, labour progressed too slowly and so she was born by c-section.

shortly after birth, rebecca had her first big poop of meconium, and daddy experienced his first diaper. i think the expressions say it all!

one of her favorite pastimes so far: sleeping. let’s hope that continues!

little rebecca, having come a bit early, spent some time in the incubator to treat jaundice.

In the 1st picture, I think Rebecca is already thinking big deep thoughts about something very important. It’s wonderful to see a newborn’s expressions! Watch out for explosive poops and “around the world” ones that encircle the entire waist! Hug and kiss Rebecca for us.
