tonight we attended the annual “the Big Game” party held at church, featuring the unbeaten new england patriots playing against the underdog new york giants. apparently referring to “the Big Game” by the Game’s actual name in association with a certain party is a copyright no-no. as usual, there were homemade corndogs and cincinnati-style chili for all to enjoy.
the game was a real nail-biter down to the last second… at the end of it all, the giants held off the patriots 17-14 in one of the biggest upsets in NFL history. and oh yeah, the $2.7 million per 30 second commercials were pretty good too; my favorites were the bridgestone tire with screaming animals, pepsi with justin timberlake, etrade infant investing, tide-to-go talking stain, and amp drink with the fat guy.
