no that is not a new spice girl. joe’s exam marathon starts tomorrow with aramaic, and he was surprised with a venti pumpkin spice no whip frappucino, courtesy of our friend anne, who dropped it off after dinner. thanks anne!! i couldn’t help myself, and took a few sips. seriously, not more than 10 sips (plus the diluted icy part that’s left at the end) and now i have a caffeine headache. i am such a coffee wimp. joe, on the other hand, feels great.

hey too bad i can’t drop off some of the coke blak we have in the fridge. or red bull. but it sounds like y’all are drugged up enough already for the week ahead. we’ll be praying for ya!
aramaic eh? did you know that during Jesus’ lifetime, in the first century CE of israel’s roman period, jews are believed to have spoken hebrew and aramaic? additionally, koine greek was an international language of the roman administration and trade, and was widely understood by those in the urban spheres of influence. latin was spoken in the roman army, but had almost no impact on the linguistic landscape.
you did? oh. well, you should ace the test then. no worries.
×רמית. did i say that right?
That’s pretty good… the Hebrew/Aramaic script came out right too.
So my Aramaic exam’s done… one down, four to go.
wuhoo! what’s next, what’s next? maybe i can help you with that one, too?
I’ve got Biblical Hebrew in less than 2 hours… I’m so anxious that I woke up automatically this morning, before the sun even rose…
good luck, joseph!!
