a few weeks ago we went to charlotte for a much needed ikea-run. we took the opportunity to spend a couple of hours at discovery place, a fun little science museum.

christmas this year was a quiet one here in chapel hill. we really missed seeing our dear family and friends in vancouver, but it was also nice to stay put and not have to travel this season. in the weeks leading up to christmas, we were able to attend a couple christmas parties, including a read more »

R’s first school concert! it was so fun to watch and enjoy their little performance. she was really cute in her tutu and borrowed ballet slippers which kept falling off. R even managed to remember her one french line: “on a un message!”. the children prepared gifts for their parents. love these!

this is a month late… sorry! a saturday morning stroll through the sarah p. duke gardens. there was a japanese garden with bamboo forests and japanese maple trees in their full fall colour glory. it was so pretty! the terrace gardens with its coi pond. so many colours!
