queen of her castle

sometimes rebecca likes to sit propped up on the nursing pillow, like a little throne. she is certainly quickly becoming queen of this castle and we are her humble subjects. sitting with her little friends: plotting her next move:

giving thanks

doctor visits

going to the doctor in her comfy carseat. falls asleep and loves resting her hands on top of the seatbelt. getting her one month check with dr. J, our awesome family doctor. growing along that 10th percentile, yeah!

family time

we were so glad joe’s family could all be in town to meet rebecca. she got to spend time with her cousins from california and grandpa L from hong kong. jennifer, priscilla and jadon constructed an amazing diaper cake for rebecca: a cake made of diapers and other baby goodies, topped with a hello kitty. read more »

one month celebration

it’s hard to believe, but rebecca is already one month old! she is healthy and changing almost every day as we watch her gain more awareness and personality. this last week she has blessed me with relatively decent sleep at night and good feeds, all in preparation for the one month “moon yuet” dinner celebration read more »

baby faces

much time has been spent staring into that squishy little face, and we are getting to know her expressions… or at least we think we do. smile! gimme milk. gimme milk NOW. ooo… poo face?

baby visitors

over the last few weeks, we’ve had a few visitors trickling through. i’m still in recovery mode, but it’s been nice to see people during those lucid moments! luckily gina was in town when rebecca was delivered, so she was around to welcome her home, fresh from the hospital almost four weeks ago. the chens read more »

nesting

it’s been over two weeks now, and rebecca is growing so quickly! a lot of sleeping, cuddling, eating and pooing going on. chinese postpartum food. sleeping with grandma knitting close by. proud auntie. hello daddy. hello mommy.
