quality playtime

nc museum of natural sciences

while helen was in town, we visited the nc museum of natural sciences in raleigh. there was a short presentation where a staff member brought out real animals for us to see, and we learned about animals in camouflage. deer (or bunnies) in the headlights. baby alligator. small dinosaur exhibit lots of snakes. don’t they read more »

sugarland

we went to sugarland on franklin near campus. cupcakes galore! two for one special! raspberry creme brulee, french vanilla, chocolate caramel and red velvet. ate two and took two home. cupcake eating cupcake.

it was a beautiful day today to take a walk through campus and the franklin historic district. guess who’s visiting? the iconic unc old well historic homes in the area including the horace williams house pretty berry tree in its back yard

morning at the mall

after monday morning art class, we usually meander our way through our local mall. last week we found these happy balloons which reminded me of “up” and conveniently matched her shirt. lunch at chick-fil-a. who wouldn’t be happy with a hat and chicken nuggets?
