duke gardens

a saturday morning stroll through the sarah p. duke gardens. there was a japanese garden with bamboo forests and japanese maple trees in their full fall colour glory. it was so pretty! the terrace gardens with its coi pond. so many colours!

a little pumpkin

fieldtrip to ganyard hill farm

i got to help out with R’s school fieldtrip to Ganyard Hill Farm. the goats. lots of corn. class pic in the maze. hayride! and a souvenir to take home from the pumpkin patch. i know, she looks so thrilled.

there was an art festival in downtown Raleigh this weekend which featured three blocks of chalk art by artists of all levels. we got in the action too with our small contribution. i like how the chalk pigments looked on the asphalt: some of our favourites:

bubble birthday party
