our charleston experience would not be complete without a (big) food entry. we definitely got a good taste of “low country” food.
our first night in charleston, at “low country bistro”. frogmore stew and a local brew.

we went full-out for our thanksgiving dinner at “hank’s seafood restaurant”. passed on the turkey for some amazing seafood. fried oysters with okra, a bouillabaisse (it was soooo good) and a banana cream pie for dessert (also reeeally good).

lunch after boone hall plantation at “sticky fingers”. hickory smoked ribs and chicken with a side of coleslaw and fried corn (yes, fried).

dinner at “82 queen”. green fried tomatoes.

lunch before hitting the road at “jestine’s kitchen”. corn bread dipped in butter and honey, crab cake, fried chicken, sweet potato and okra stew.

it’s a good thing we walked a lot!
