wrightsville beach

wrightsville beach is only a short drive from wilmington. we didn’t have very much time and the weather was looking unpredictable, but luckily we managed to fit in a yummy mexican lunch and some beach time.

we were lucky as raindrops began to fall as we were heading back to the car, and the thunderstorm started once we were driving back to chapel hill. it was a great little 24-hr getaway. bye bye summer!

I have a recipe for yummy pickled onions: http://www.weber.com/recipes/beef/tube-steaks-with-pickled-onions. Super easy and keeps wells in a glass jar in the fridge.
