the few more pics from our vancouver trip. a big highlight was watching the Mary Poppins musical, a Christmas gift from Helen. toboganning family dinners and karaoke board games and trains!

a very superhero christmas

a few more christmas cards for family. R learned how to draw a star! visit with santa. R asked for a toy trumpet! we spent christmas eve with family and friends with the usual hot pot meal christmas morning pancakes and presents! supergirl looking over the city!

who needs christmas light shows when you can just walk over to the neighbor’s yard and admire the giant snowglobe? jesus birthday party… mmm the cupcakes were yummy! i helped organize a christmas song that the children performed for church. they did a great job! and finally a visit from Judith and Terry.

decorating for christmas is our favorite! we painted pinecones from the yard, and made a new felt wreath. Rebecca made this ornament herself at school! I love it.

a bunny halloween

this year R wanted to be a little bunny for hallowe’en. i made her a costume, complete with ears and a big white fluffy tail (my favorite part). getting in character. at one point she had me give her a carrot to chew on (until she decided that this bunny doesn’t like carrots) and had read more »

pig pickin’ neighborhood block party

we attended our very first neighborhood block party! there will little games, and R brought her tricycle to ride around. our neighbors cooked a roasted pig and chickens, and everyone brought a dish to share.

a butterfly birthday

A fourth birthday! I initially didn’t know if we would have a party this year, but at the end managed to put together a sweet butterfly birthday party for R and a few little friends.
