things have been busy with work and school. one night, too tired to cook, we found our way to “dixie kitchen” a small neighborhood restaurant. i’ve always wondered what fried green tomatoes were, so we couldn’t resist when we saw it on the appetizer menu.

they were… interesting. kind of firm and sour on the inside, with fried corn meal on the outside. not sure i would want to order it again, but at least now i know.

The fried green tomatoes were appetizer, and we each ordered a main course as well… what you see in the picture is my crawfish stew. Quite tasty. Sherwin’s gumbo/jambalaya (I forgot which one she got) was good too.

the food looks really tasty… and are those pioneering relics all over the ceiling?! because that would be kind of awesome.

y’know, strange. but awesome.
